Proof, not promises

Everyone selling horse racing picks makes the same claim: "we called it". Almost nobody can prove it. Our answer is simple: every runner in every covered race is ranked and published before post time, and the page is archived unchanged — so you never have to take our word for anything. The full record is public, misses included.

1 · Ranked before post time

The next day's South African card is generated the evening before (overnight SAST). Every runner in every race deep enough to rank gets a model probability and a rank, and the time the page was written is printed on it. When the Turkish tote opens its win pool on race morning, the page refreshes before the first race — verdicts and pool shares fill in. After the off, the card is never touched.

2 · Logged the moment it's written

As each page is generated, every rank is also appended to a running prediction log — one file, growing forward only. The record and results pages are computed from that log. We never reconstruct a prediction from a result.

3 · Archived unchanged

Every day keeps its own permanent page in the archive, exactly as it was written. Results are published on separate pages alongside, never written into the card itself. Anyone can open any past day and compare rank against result.

4 · Scored in the open

Every settled race is scored against the pool favourite — the hardest honest benchmark. Blind races (too little form on file, declared before the off) are shown but never counted as picks. Losing days stay up.

What we don't claim

No guaranteed winners. Picks are statistical output. Favourites lose most races; so do we. The only claim is that the record is real and checkable.

No inflated test. The model was fitted on 2,991 South African races and tested walk-forward on 2,391 races out of sample — each block scored with weights fitted only on earlier races. On its own the model does not beat the pool; combined with the pool it passes, marginally. That is the honest size of the edge.

No third-party notarisation (yet). The written-at times on our pages are printed by our own generator. What does not depend on our word: past pages sit unchanged in the archive, and results are public everywhere — so any claimed pick can be checked against any day you like. Judge the record over hundreds of races, not one day.

Questions

Are the picks really published before the races?

Yes. Each day's card is generated and published the evening before (overnight South African time), and the exact time it was written is printed on the page. When the tote opens its win pool on race morning, the page refreshes before the first race so verdicts and pool shares can fill in; after the off, nothing on the card is touched.

Can a pick be changed after the race?

No. Once the races are run, the day's card page stays as written — results are published on separate pages, never written into the card. On top of that, every rank is appended to a running prediction log at the moment the page is generated, and the record page is computed from that log, never reconstructed from the results.

Do you show losing days?

Yes. The record page scores every usable race — our #1 against the pool favourite — and good days and bad days stay up. Nothing is edited or removed. Races where the form file is too thin are declared "blind" before the off and never count as picks.

Is this betting advice?

No. Everything on this site is statistical output for information only. There is no guarantee of winnings, and no bets are taken or placed here. If you choose to bet, do so only where it is legal for you, only if you are of legal betting age in your jurisdiction, and only with what you can afford to lose.

Where do the numbers come from?

Race cards and results come from the Turkish Jockey Club's (TJK) public foreign racing pages; the pool share is each runner's share of the Turkish tote's win pool on that race. The model starts from that share and adjusts it with sixteen form layers measured on past South African races. Nothing is typed by hand: every page is generated by a script from the data files.

How can I check the record myself?

The archive keeps every day's card exactly as written — 3 days so far. Pick any past day, open its card, and compare the ranks with the results page for the same day (or with the official results published anywhere). The record page is the same comparison run over every settled race.
